Circus School Project Delivers Rich and Real Learning Outcomes

Coraki Public School have discovered rich and real learning outcomes through a circus school project delivered by Circus in Education in collaboration with Spaghetti Circus of Mullumbimby. For 7 weeks trainers from Spaghetti Circus worked with Circus in Education at Coraki Public School. Through this in school circus project, students achieved many PDHPE outcomes, and improved their general self-image and confidence.

Firstly, students learned to communicate their needs, work together as a team, and learned new physical skills. Students also improved their general fitness levels and learned to focus through the presentation of a well shaped circus production.

Finally, through presenting the results of their school circus project to family and the wider community, the students reinforced a positive sense of identity.

This school circus project was made possible through generous philanthropic funding. It was so successful that it has been funded again in 2017. We are looking forward to creating even stronger partnerships with Spaghetti Circus and Coraki Public School next year. Watch this space!
